I recently watched a TikTok video about how a gentleman recently did a customer’s bathroom and the customer refused to pay him $4k. He eventually got his monies back and then some in the amount of $12k, but it took almost two years of him battling this customer in small court to get his monies back.
I mention this because this is just one of the woes you’ll face when you decide to open up your own company. Along the same topic is late fees. I have a client who is refusing to pay an invoice in due time, and as such, is refusing to pay late fees.
I now have to educate them, that like a telephone bill or like an internet bill, if I don’t pay, I get a late fee. This is no different. However because I’m not a large corporation like Bell or Shaw or Rogers, sometimes they don’t treat you like you are your own company.
Small business woes.
